With 1 Billion people living with disabilities, 80% in LMICs, this issue is dedicated to global disability. We put forth an interdependence model of engagement with original articles on training for inclusiveness, adding social supports of friendship, a social model for collectivist societies, and some very moving accounts of people with and service to those with disabilities.
